Frigidity

The term 'frigidity' describes a long-term lack of sexual drive and response. Even though this problem can affect both the sexes, it is usually more applied to women.



Causes :

The factors could be psychological, physiological or pathological. Psychological factors involve guilt about sexual involvement, anxiety, fear, depression, stress, past sexual abuse, or conflict between the partners. Physiological factors could be menstrual cycles, pregnancy, lactation, postnatal period, menopause, injury to the pelvic region, or birth control pills/hormones.
